Ten New Commodity Stocks Added; Four Stocks Deleted from Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index in Quarterly Rebalancing

New York, NY (PRWEB) -- The Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index (http://rve.snetglobalindexes.com/) (TICKER: RVEI) will add ten new components, effective 6:00 PM (EDT) Sunday, June 20, 2010. Four stocks will be deleted from the index, changing the number of index components to 311. The changes result from the quarterly rebalancing of the index.

One stock will be added to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Agricultural Producers Index, changing the number of index components to 43.

One stock will be added to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Metals Producers Index, changing the number of index components to 100.

Eight stocks will be added to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Energy Producers Index, while three stock will be deleted, changing the number of index components to 131.

No changes will be made to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Liquid Index, maintaining the fixed number of 50 index components.

The Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index is a capitalization-weighted, float-adjusted index of the most prominent commodity stocks in the world. To be included in the RVEI, stocks must pass multiple screens, including for capitalization, float, exchange listing, share price and turnover. The index is divided into six sectors: a) Energy, b) Agriculture, c) Base and Industrial Metals, d) Forest products, e) Precious Metals and f) Alternatives (Renewable Energy and Water)
